TWR is proud to have been a sponsor of TMA’s 2018 High School Machining Competition. Events like these help promote careers in the manufacturing industry, where there’s an abundance of opportunity for America’s youth entering the job market for the first time. The results are available here.
Having worked with the manufacturing industry for more than 50 years, TWR has seen an ever-increasing demand for machinists and CNC operators. We recognize that in order for manufacturing to grow and continue supporting industrial services like our own, we must invest in a new generation of competent craftsman who will build the manufacturing industry of the future. It is for this reason that we are happy to extend our appreciation to TMA for promoting these types of events and for their enduring effort to promote jobs and growth in the manufacturing sector.
An article in TMA’s April Newsletter entitled “America’s Future is in Shop Class” adresses this topic head on. While it’s clear that the path to career success in the manufacturing industry is not easy, the employment opportunities provided are more than promising. It is through supporting the efforts of organizations like TMA and making the next generation aware of these opportunities that we will be able to fully realize the potential growth of this sector.
